  • 🔩
Unified Lens Ecosystem The SlimRing gives your lenses a single front filter diameter—meaning fewer adapters and faster swaps.

Custom Laser Engraving Bold laser-engraved text makes it easy to spot the right lens at a glance—on set or in your bag.
The SoloKit is built for lean crews, fast setups, and shooters who pack light. It includes the low-profile SlimRing to standardize your front diameter, plus the RingLid that keeps your lens protected and clearly labeled at all times—even when it’s packed deep in your bag. The RingLid threads in tight, doubling as a protective cap for any filter left on your lens. With bold laser-engraving for quick lens identification and a no-bulk design for clean rigs, this kit delivers pro-grade protection and speed without compromise.

We get it—most people haven’t designed their own lens cap before. That’s why we’re here to help, every step of the way. While other custom cap stores slap on a warning (“text will be engraved exactly as typed—no edits, no returns”), we take a different approach.

With LensLids, you choose your level of control. After placing your order, we’ll either guide you through the design process step by step, or hand over full creative freedom.

We do ask that you provide the brand and model of the lens the cap will pair with. Based on that, we’ll send you a selection of design options to choose from. Once you’ve made your pick, we’ll send a proof for your approval before production begins.

If you're the hands-on type, you can also request a blank design template—with tolerance lines—so you can craft your cap layout exactly how you want it.

⚠️ Heads-Up: Because the RingLid screws into the SlimRing, which in turn screws into your lens threads (all with varying thread depth), the engraving will most likely not be upright/lined up when mounted on your camera body. This is standard for threaded gear and does not affect function — but if alignment matters to you, check out the CineKit which uses a friction fit lid that can always be turned upright.

Front Filter Diameter

The SlimRing is available in two sizes to accommodate the most common filter sizes. The 77mm version fits 77mm threaded filters, while the 82mm version fits 82mm threaded filters. Chose the RingLid diameter that matches the selected SlimRing size.

Note: The SlimRing is not compatible with matte boxes. For matte box use, check out the full-size CineKit or LocationKit.

⚠️ Heads-Up: Because the RingLid screws into the SlimRing, which then screws into your lens threads (each with varying thread depths), the engraving may not align upright when mounted on your camera body. This is typical for threaded gear and does not affect functionality. However, if alignment is important to you, consider the CineLid, which can always be rotated upright thanks to its friction fit.

Note: The SlimRing is not compatible with matte boxes. For matte box use, check out the full-size CineKit or LocationKit.
