🛠️ Design Option

There are two design options available:

🔸 Branded – The branded design option requires you to choose from a selection of premade designs. You are limited to customizing ONLY the model of the lens (the bottom line). Lens model information will be engraved exactly as you type it. For any further customizations, choose the custom design option.

🔸 Custom – The custom design option allows you to make any changes to a premade design or upload your own custom look.

For all lid orders, you will receive a proof via email before production begins.

🔹 Lens Brand
Once you have selected the brand of your lens, a swatch of available design options will appear. Hover over or click each design thumbnail to view. Ensure the correct design is selected before continuing.

We're working on design templates. In the meantime, if there are no design templates available for your chosen brand, please message us and it will be added right away.

🔹 Lens Model
The lens model text you provide will be engraved on the lower portion of the lid. Please note: lens model information will be engraved exactly as you type it. There is limited space for text on the lens model line. Any text over 16 characters (including spaces) will require a reduction in size of the lens model text.

⚠️ Heads-Up: Because the RingLid screws into the SlimRing or FrontRing, which in turn screws into your lens threads (all with varying thread depth), the engraving will most likely not be upright/lined up when mounted on your camera body. This is standard for threaded gear and does not affect function — but if alignment matters to you, check out the CineLid, which can always be turned upright due to it's friction fit..

Lens Filter Diameter

The lens filter diameter is based on the front threads of your lens. To ensure you're selecting the correct front filter diameter, please consult our comprehensive Lens Filter Diameter Reference Chart. If your lens isn’t listed or you need further assistance, feel free to reach out to us through the contact page—our team will be happy to help you promptly.

RingLid FAQ

What size do I need?

The RingLid attaches directly to the internal filter threading on the FrontRing and SlimRing. For a proper fit, the sizes must match. For example, if you have an 80mm Outer Diameter (77mm Front Filter Threads) FrontRing, you'll need a 77mm RingLid

Although we don't recommend it, the RingLid can be used as a standalone lens cap. However, due to its low-profile design, it can be difficult to screw on and off. For easier use as a standalone lens cap, we suggest the LensLid.
