  • CineLid - 80mm
  • RingLid - 77mm
80mm Front Ring (Lens Filter Diameter): 49

Redundant Security Built for abuse—stack the CineLid and RingLid together for double-layered protection that keeps your glass safe through travel, dust, and on-set chaos.
  • 🧰
Stacked Utility Slide-on the CineLid for speed, screw-in the RingLid for lock-tight durability that protects your glass even with a matte box mounted—swap or stack depending on the shoot.
  • 🎥
Matte Box–Ready The FrontRing threads directly into your lens and integrates seamlessly with matte boxes, filters, and standard rig setups.
  • ✏️
Fast Lens ID Bold laser-engraved text makes it easy to find the right lens fast—even in the most demanding environments.
The LocationKit is built for the unpredictable pace of fieldwork — where your lens rides in backpacks, rigs up on curbs, and hits record in whatever conditions the day throws at you. It includes the same matte box–ready FrontRing and fast-access CineLid as the CineKit, but adds a rugged RingLid for extra protection. The screw-in RingLid stays locked in, even with a matte box mounted, and doubles as a cap when filters are in place — giving you a rare, double-layered defense system no other setup offers. Slide the CineLid on for fast shooting. Thread in the RingLid for locked-in durability. Or stack them together for redundant protection between setups. Wherever your shoot takes you, this kit adapts.

We get it—most people haven’t designed their own lens cap before. That’s why we’re here to help, every step of the way. While other custom cap stores slap on a warning (“text will be engraved exactly as typed—no edits, no returns”), we take a different approach.

With LensLids, you choose your level of control. After placing your order, we’ll either guide you through the design process step by step, or hand over full creative freedom.

We do ask that you provide the brand and model of the lens the cap will pair with. Based on that, we’ll send you a selection of design options to choose from. Once you’ve made your pick, we’ll send a proof for your approval before production begins.

If you're the hands-on type, you can also request a blank design template—with tolerance lines—so you can craft your cap layout exactly how you want it.

⚠️ Heads-Up: Because the RingLid screws into the FrontRing, which in turn screws into your lens threads (all with varying thread depth), the engraving will most likely not be upright/lined up when mounted on your camera body. This is standard for threaded gear and does not affect function. The CineLid can always be turned upright due to it's friction fit.

The 80mm location kit includes:
a FrontRing with an 80mm outer diameter (77mm internal filter threads), an 80mm CineLid, and a 77mm RingLid
The 85mm location kit includes:
a FrontRing with an 85mm outer diameter (82mm internal filter threads), an 85mm CineLid, and an 82mm RingLid

⚠️ Heads-Up: Because the RingLid screws into the FrontRing, which in turn screws into your lens threads (all with varying thread depth), the engraving will most likely not be upright/lined up when mounted on your camera body. This is standard for threaded gear and does not affect function. On the other hand, the CineLid can always be turned upright due to it's friction fit.
